Just recently my wife took the kids and left. I am so thankful to her for that now. And I thank God for the events that have taken place and giving my wife the courage to stand up to me for herself and our children. This is the second time she has had to leave me. I am sober now and plan to stay that way for myself. I want to add that I work offshore on a 14 and 7 schedule. I am not a violent drunk but verbally abusive without yelling and screaming. I know in my heart that she would take me back again even after two months but it's only been a month since she left. And I'm going to stay apart from her till I get my head together so that this will never happen again. I love her and our children to much to take the chance of hurting them anymore. When we are together again and if I want to be the best man I can possibly be for them and myself. Our home is about to go into foreclosure so I'm gonna stay there and get as much help as I can to make sure this never happens again. The best thing she could have done she did and is doing which is ignoring texts and phone calls but I get to hear her voice once a day. I don't know if my baby read a book or if her faith is guiding her but I am so grateful for what's taking place. The phone calls are very short and then that's it for the rest of the day and in trying to deal with the pain of her leaving I looked for answers I couldnt bother her with them I was forced to figure this out on my own. And with what I have done and said she may never take me back and that's something I'll have to deal with. I never cheated on her or beat on her or my babies but a person can say and do things that hurt far worse than that and I'm scaired she won't be able to ever forgive me. So my question is where can I possibly start in righting my wrongs to my family. I know to never drink again. And I love her so much more now knowing what she did for herself and the kids and even myself. It makes me wanna ball up and cry to know I may never get the chance to show her the new me. It's very short lived being sober so far but I have looked back and actually remembered almost everyway I have let them down or hurt them. Now that I can see past myself it's very heartbreaking and I have a constant lump in my throat and stomach. And that's just me realizing what I've put them through I can't imagine the pain I've caused them. Number one don't drink ever again! So steps three four and so on are? Any advice? About Kids, Cell Phones, and Non Costudial Parents?

My son's father (non custodial parent) bought my son a cell phone for Christmas. This is completely unnecessary. I have never denied access to him. It's an attempt to have control over my son, track his every move and have his overly involded ridiculous family call him all day everyday. They already tell him inappropriate things, and plan things with him without consulting me. I am stuck having to monitor the best that I can the way it is. The things they tell him is that he will be coming to live with his dad, and that he will be going on this vacation and that one etc? What can I do? My son is 11 and slightly Autistic. He has no phone skills either. It's a "court" tactic to "prove" that I won't allow access to him, which doesn't even exist. ok, so a couple of monthes ago, i came up with the idea that i might have bipolar disorder. i know it sounds really random, but there were lot of things leading up to the umption. i have a month (or even a week) where everything is bad, i just can seem to be happy.. (basicly depressed) and then all of a sudden, im i dont know how to explin it... hyper, and evrything seems fine, i do impulsive things... i dont know how to explain, anyhow, i did a lot of reserch, i did online tests (and yes, i know this is not a diagnose) but i concluded it has to be bipolar disorder. so i told one friend, and she told me to go talk to someone that can help me, but i have a "fear"for talking about my feelings... i HATE our school councelor, he is a jerk, and gaah, i really dont feel comfortable talking to him. i have a very bad relationship with my parents, and i would never have the courage to talk to them about it. em.. trying to keep this short :\ so there are 2 teachers, my dutch teacher, and i have talked to her before, but not about his at all.. and our dance teacher, both are not much older than me, and i guess i would feel comfortable talking to them, i just dont know how.. i mean i cant just walk up to them and tell them "hey, i think i might be bipolar.." but i am the lamest person you will ever hear from, and i just "dont" talk about this stuff to other people.. i keep it to myself, and until now, its been ok, but i just cant hold it in anymore.. and i dont really want to talk to my friends, because they cant "help" me... a teacher can. so the question, how do i deal with this.. i just cant keep it all in anymore.. and i dont have siblings (close to here..) and my parents are not an option, and i dont have the money to go to a shrink or a psychiatrist, so my only options are my two teachers, i just dont know "how" to tell them... please help, i really cant keep it in any longer...

I do not know about the elementary school thing, children do tend to be very curious. If you believe that he was abused then i would say go with your personal instinct. Also the fact that his parents threw him out is a reinforcement to your thought of abuse. If you become too worried or afraid then i would say leave. But I would show him some support first... maybe ask about it. Recommending a counselor may also help.

Can Parakeets Eat Honey Roasted Deli Turkey?

Are you certain that you want your dog to do this? The decision, of course, is yours-but I feel that training one of my dogs to sit on recall was a huge mistake...now she won't respond to sit unless she is immediately next to me. It's been impossible to break her of this...when we're in the field, and I want her to sit, I want her to sit where she is, not where I am-but she insists on returning to my side first (because that's how I trained her)...this was the biggest training mistake I ever made---just wanted to share my experience with you before you train your dog to do the same. I leave on 4 Nov. 2008 for boot camp. I have been told to prepare for 8.5 weeks but then I was told only some of the flights are changing because the Air Force doesn't have a large enough budget to change all of the flights at once. I feel pretty comfortable saying that the people who think we'd be better off with no religion whatsoever are a minority. Many of us although not believers ourselves have no problems with people being believers if it makes their lives better, and it does in a lot of cases. I just have a problem with people who take it to the extreme, or feel that they're superior to people who don't agree with them on religion.

Hey whats up, first i like to say i love European fighters it's too bad not many people recognize skill from other countries. As far as saying Ricky Hatton is a HOF to me that kinda pushing it, i do think he was a good fighter, not great but he was good. To me he has beaten one for sure future HOF member (Kostya Tszyu) and another possible future HOF member (Jose Luis Castillo) me personally i dont think he's done enough in boxing to become a HOF member. If i had to compare his career to someone it would be Trevor Berbick, Berbick beat some very good fighters also such as Muhammad Ali, sure Ali was declining in his career but so was Tszyu when Hatton beat him. It depends on what State you are in. Most LPN education can be completed within a few months. 16 to 22 months. However, RN school can be anywhere from 24 months to 4 yrs. Depends if you are working on ASN or BSN......I would suggest you do some more research on line for a much clear answer.

Doctors, nurses, or anyone who knows about back pain. I keep getting misdiagnosed.?

I have extreme lower back pain. I have been to three doctors(2 were from a med-express clinic). One said it was a kidney infection and gave me antiobiotics and vicodin. When the culture came back it was negative for any infection. The second doc. said it may be my S.I. joint or something and said to see my G.P for a second opinion. She said it's scoliosis. I had an x-ray and an MRI. Both show no signs of scoleosis and everything is normal. I have also had bloodwork done for my kidneys and they're fine. Can anyone help me figure out what this is or give me advice? The pain gets so bad at night I can't sleep. Nothing helps I've taken vicodin, IBprofen, Motrin, Tylenol.

My female Dane attacked my female Mastiff?

We have 3 dogs, all unaltered, 3yo m Bull Mastiff, 2yo f English Mastiff, and 3yo f Great Dane. Had the Bull first at 9mo old, got the English 6mo later at 6mo old, They are great together, play, sleep, eat etc..Dane came into the pic 1 yr later @ 3yo. Got from newspaper, guy had no time, supposedly raised w/ another female. little shy @ first. but settled in fine, We had for 10 months now, all sleep, eat. play well together, mostly the 2 mastiffs play together, the F very much a puppy and always the submissive one, the Dane will join in a chase every now n then,but not really the wrestle play type like the other 2. although, Dane, never aggressively, would try to lay in her favorite spot, whether another dog was already laying there or not. does the nudge thing "pet me" to people, nudges her way to the front line when giving attention to the other 2, and occasionally tries to hump the male, all domination traits i'm told. Well, yesterday my roommate came home to find the 2 females bloodied up and panting hard, I think if he hadn't come home when he did, it would have been a lot worse. But my F Mastiff was chewed up pretty bad, her throat and mostly her ear. The Dane was fine, Vet said Mastiff may be coming into a heat, the females have to be separated indefinitely and that the aggression will only escalate. What can I do about a notice to vacate?

I live in Melbourne and yesterday received a notice to vacate my rented premises without a reason cited. When I visited the property manager, she refused to give me a reason. I believe this has to do with bullying from the other tenants (I have had my car vandalised recently plus my garden interfered with) I do have photos of one of the tenants holding a pot plant, as she would regularly come into my garden and move them. Will removing a his & her sink to install pantry effect resale value?

Here is the problem, whoever built this house forgot about storage. The master bath is the worst! They put a his and her sink in with very little storage under the sink due to how they ran the water lines and drain lines in the very middle of each sink. I would like to remove the sinks that are there now, install a normal vanity and beside it install a bathroom pantry or some may know it as a linen closet. There isn't a lot of room in there to begin with since there is a garden tub that sits at an angle in the corner (had 2 big mirrors that ran the length of the tub each way from the corner - I removed those.) I am eyeing a Ruger KP345PR (PR=Pic rail). The plastic seems stronger than the glock plastics-no flex and very hard. Dog has wee'd lots in his cage overnight?

My dog is 8 months old and has always been very good at weeing outside. Last night he wee'd twice indoors despite letting him out, had a huge wee before bed and going into his cage. I think you need to fix the punctuation a little where it says "Let me immerse myself in others' pions" (apostrophe if you are referring to the pions belonging to others) and also change "Your's" to "Yours" without an apostrophe. I like your internal rhymes and your alliteration with "running rampant." It's a nice little poem.

How can i make and maintain a compost pit/bin, overcoming space problems?

I have been using a composting pit for 2 years now and it makes excellent compost. I have a hole in the ground which is 1 meter wide x 1 meter deep x 2.5 meters long. I keep it covered with tree branches and plywood. At one end there is a ledge to allow stepping down. I put gr clippings, food scraps, shredded paper, shredded branches and debris from my garden. I also add a sack of cow manure every so often. I am very proud of the quality of compost I wind up with. It has turned out to be rich in nutrients for my vegetable garden and all of the earthworms in the soil. I garden using NO chemicals. Only compost and manure.

the past few weeks i have had diarrhea... about 4 times out of the day...now i have contractions..nothing regular yet but whenever i do i get the really bad gas cramps. the past few days ive lost more and more of my mucus plug and the frequent diarrhea has turned into "making it hard to go" but feeling like i have to go all the time. then the past few nights i'm up every 2 hours on the dot to pee..and during the day i feel like i have to go every 5 min and my bladder hurts really bad and my back because of it. i'm 37 weeks.. last week i was a fingertip dilated and 50 percent effaced. Expressing sacs?

I just answered a question about this which is ironic. I knew my dog needed to have her sacs expressed because she was scooting and licking herself on the behind a lot. I immediately took her to the vet and it was only $15.00! This was the first time and she is almost 3 years old. I also feed her a vet recommended diet and she is not overweight. Anyway, I just wanted to know if this will always be something I will have to deal with or if this will be something that doesn't have to occur more than once or twice. I know the signs and will take her in again if it happens. I have a low budget for a hybrid bike (no high demand, just commuting). I visited some bike shops and the lowest priced are like $300 or so for something like a Raleigh Detour. If I buy a used bike, a good brand like Raleigh or Trek or Giant will cost at least $150 it seems--and I may well have to pay some $$ for some repair/tune-up since it's used, so probably ending up $200+. These, and considering the resale values, seems a new one is a better option? The one negative of a new one is: I'm in NYC which is full of bike thieves.

The same thing happened to me with the braces. I just got all of my top teeth pulled and have a denture. So far, it is not half bad. It is possible to mount dentures on implants. I had money issues too. I tried to save up for a year to get implants, and I couldn't. They are expensive. Good luck though. Also, I am young too, I am 21.

Rocking manual transmission while shifting??

It really isn't going to be anything more than annoying. the side to side movement doesn't move any gears around inside the transmission, only going up into the gears does. I do this sometimes but not between ever shift...i only do it when i stop before letting the clutch out to make sure it's out of gear. i'm sure over a very long time the bushings in the shifter linkage might wear out but if it's a shifter that goes directly into the trans the there really isn't anything to worry about.

Could be I've not noticed this "new" behaviour before and I recently had to put down my 8 yr old female cat but....my healthy 11 yr old male contracts and shakes his hind legs while lying close to my other cat and sometimes against me. He has a semi to fully exposed while doing this. The other male gets mad and swats because of the hind legs repeatedly pressing against his stomach. He doesn't have any discomfort or reluctance using the litter box. Do you think it is just sensitivity and nothing to worry about? I've been married for 10 years. 3 kids 8,7,5. My marriage has had it's up and downs. He has been unable to find employment for the past year and a half putting every on me. And I have to admit it made me a little bitter and snappy working 70 hours plus a week and on call 24/7. Anyway long story short.After a awesome romantic night out..I heard my cell phone ring(the one I leave with him) and headed to the back to answer and it. He pulled it out of his pocket and said "wrong number" twice very nervous and fast and hung up. I knew right then something was strange. I called the number back and they answered but said nothing..Until I said "Hello" and they hung up and wouldn't answer again. About a hour later I called from my other cell and a Female answered. When I spoke she hung up and never answered again. He kept swearing on his mother that he had not cheated but would not make the same swear that he didn't know who's number it was. Finally he said I won't swear to that because "I know who it is". Supposably someone had dropped a phone number in the penger window at a store and said "hey my friend likes you give her a call." I asked him how many times they had talked and what the intent was. He said about 5-6 and he had no idea why he called..He said he made the call then didn't know how to get out of it. He said that the reason she had called when I was there was he had just called her and left a message that he had made a mistake and please don't call but she must of not checked VM and just called right back. I checked phone records and the conversations were 1 or 2 minutes long with the exception of one 12 minute call. It also checked out that he had called her at 11:14 and then she called back at 11:16 (the call I caught). During the whole mess I told him that if he had left the message he needed to call back in front of me and reiterate what he had said on the message. Which he did. I am having a really hard time with this and don't know what to do...He is very apologetic and said that the only reason he can think of that he called was to see if he still had it in him. (he is 13 years older than me). I work to much and to hard to play detective I either have to trust and move on or just move on. Possible infected belly on peircing? what else can i do to help it?

okay so i have just gotten my belly on peirced monday febuary 8th 2010. the place was clean and i watched to make sure everything was sterilzed and clean before it was used on me, but after it was done the peircer didnt tell me anything like when to clean it, how often, or when i can change my jewlery. i have h2ocean i have been cleaning my belly on 5+ times a day with the solution and i have just recently notticed the surrounding tissue of my top peircing looks inflamed and a bit around the jewl. i have been washing the area and the hoop with anti bacterial hand soap (orange sent)- altough i am already aware that were i live the water supply is hard water making the antibacterial properties of the soap ineffective, i havebeen letting both peircing soak in a warm water/salt mix for a few minutes on top of using a q-tip and h2ocean solution multiple times a day. is what im doing going to help? if not what would? what else can i do? does it sound like its infected?

Looking for a compact but solid 9mm with a big grip for carry.?

I have long fingers & my hands wrap too far around the grip of some of the compacts so I am looking for something with a good sized grip. I have handled, but not fired, a Sig P229 and H&K USP (not sure which one) and both felt comfortable. I fired a Glock 17, which was very ergonomic, but felt a little too light. I also fired a Springfield XD, but the casing failed to fully eject a couple times. I know it's probably user error though. I am only looking at 9mm's and I would like to find something that is reliable, relatively accurate, has low recoil, & doesn't need to be cleaned too often. I have been looking closer at the Sig P229, P229DAK, P239, & P239DAK, H&K P2000, P2000SK, P30, & USP Compact, Para Hawg, Hawg Lite, & Carry 9, and the Smith & Wesson 908, although I have not been able to actually handle many of these yet. Due to my job, I cannot take it with me to work, but it will be used for carry when I go out at night. Any thoughts on the dozen I mentioned or any others?

RESPECT!!! What can we do about arrogant people in the Judicial System?

Some people find it amusing as we have several television shows with various Judges on television presiding over various courts. The problem I find with all this is because often times people are innocent and also they are not guilty if taken to small claims court. However, the various Judges and magistrates governing the various proceedings can be arrogant, rude and down right obnoxious. There is nothing funny about being in court and the people doing the judging are there to do that. Not to sit up there and and try to be comedians or intimidating. I don't find it the least bit funny and we need to check that behavior. They are elected for a reason and this stuff is no joke how can we hold them to the appropriate standards of conduct. Mean, intimidating, bias, and outright nasty conduct should not be allowed in the American Court System. What can we do to change this as it is our responsibility. Most of us appear in traffic court at least once in our lives, if we don't there are people in our families that do. So, what do we do as the defendants and also the complainants to get this personal floor show mentality of some of the people we elected to stop. We elected them through RESPECT and in return we should demand the appropriate RESPECT ourselves. I think everyone reading this question knows exactly what I am talking about so here it is lay-ed out for your suggestions / answers. (From a respectful Army Veteran who believes in equal respect for Americans) I have also worked as a law enforcement officer and always did my best to be courteous in the performance of my duties. I currently have a few nerve conditions which are related to my past employment. Not to long ago I took someone to small claims court (not on television) and the Judge had a nasty disposition. He even stated to me do you know what I can do to you? And looked over at his bailiff who was sitting there in a suit and acted like he was going to reach in his coat and pull out a gun or something? I stated to him I am the complainant and then he proceeded on with a nasty attitude. Speaking of which not only was he rude but most of the employees in the building were rude. Im getting Chest Pressure all the time. PLZ Help.?

I been getting chest discomfort everyday now all day for the last four months. Before I would get chest pressure here and there but now it is constant. Pressure is near the top part of my Heart and Where my ribs connect to my Sternum. I can feel it in my back also. The pressure varies throughout the day. Sometimes it feels mild pressure and other times it feels like congested pressure. My left arm tends to feel mildly weak and on some occasions My nose will be really congested with the pressure being worst in my chest. I had an Ekg and Chest Xray three months ago when this first started, Both came back normal. Sometimes exercising helps it go away but sometimes it makes it worst. Sleeping sometimes relieves it but not all the time. I have no insurance. I need some honest opinions PLZ HELP!. My symptoms are Congest Nose, Congested feeling Pressure around Heart, Pressure near Sternum. I am 22 yrs old male. I quit drinkin and smoking. I eat fairly healthy and try to exercise every day.

My son was fed for 3 days then I put him on cow and gate easy digest formula and he was a 'perfect' baby (unlike my first son who suffered awful colic) all of a sudden he stated with constipation and was in agony ping hard '' this lasted a week before the mw suggested a teaspoon of fresh orange in water which we did a few times and it helped a little but by 3 weeks he went the opposite way and started with diarrhoea! we hdnt given him the orange for 2 days when this started and firstly thought this was the course but after a week realised it wasnt, the dr said it could be colic and perscribed infacol which we had already tried and wasnt working, by 4 weeks he was in agony and having only what we can describe as 'adult diorreah' it was horrific and pojectile! My friend had some sma wysoy her daughter had been percribed so we went and got that by the next day his stools were looking a bit better and each day it has got easier to p and more 'normal' it has been 2weeks now and he has had 2 days of being fab, but, my hv and dr have said he should have sma lf instead due 2 the problems wysoy can cause which has worried me, will the wysoy have already damaged him and what if the lf milk backtracks him? I know i need to try it im just apprehensive!
