I have a snake in my house! PLEASE HELP!?

I was walking into my house, opened the door and stopped because there was a snake on the door jam (least I know it can't get in on its own). It slithered in and is now successfully hiding between my kitchen cabinets and the wall. Is there a smell or scent that will entice it out into the open? I really, really can't sleep knowing it's there!
