You should 'grab' Melanie, sit her down and ask her why she's behaving like that. If she refuses to talk to you, I think you should find other friends. Friends who really care will want to patch things up and see if anything can be done. It's a little mean of them to say that they are not going if you turn up. It sounds as if they weren't really good friends to begin with anyway. Try making other friends. Good luck =)
