Pports?????????

okay im a 20 year old natural born citizen and i live on my own now with my boyfriend, but i guess its new to me.... but ummmm how much does it cost to renew my pport???? And what is the process? Where do i go? Help Please cus im gonna go to mexico and im soo scared if i dont take my pport..... alot of my friends say that if i just take my license ill be okay but im not to sure about that? Is that okay, just taking my license?
