How can I encourage boyfriend to make an effort in starting his career?

If he doesn't make an effort to dress nice for an interview or take care of himself then he is telling employers he won't be making much of an effort at the job. Sounds like he is pretty lazy and I wouldn't hold your breath on him all of a sudden having ambition.
