Dog has had mild diarrhea for 2-3 weeks?

my dog is an American Eskimo that is 8 years old. for the past 2-3 weeks she has had on and off diarrhea (one day she has it, the next it's normal). but for the past 2 days she is having constipation issues, it's not super runny but still not hard. her poop has mainly been greenish, howver i haven't seen any traces of blood. she has been eating gr quite a bit too, i want to take her to the vet but financially i don't want to take her for them to tell me to let her rest and shes fine and then have to pay for nothing. is there anything i can give her to help with it? I've given her 1 pepto-bismol pill and that seemed to help a bit. also she has been acting completely normal otherwise, she has high energy and eats well everyday. sorry for the length and thanks for your time!
