When will Americans stop with the anti-Arabism...?

I'm Turkish but since Turkey is in the Middle Easter I get grouped with Arabs. Anyway when will Americans stop being so anti-Arab, I think 9/11 was horrible but that's no excuse to hate all Middle Eastern people or Muslims. I've gotten extremely rude comment from Americans regarding my race/ethnicity and religion. I thought America was a Christian nation, comments like "tell Allah to go fuсk himself" don't sound very Christan or Jesus like to me.
